Rules
2.1.
The
race will be governed by the rules
as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
2.2.
The
following prescriptions of Slovenian Sailing Federation will apply.
2.3.
If
there is a conflict between languages the Slovene text will take
precedence. |

4.
Eligibility
and entry
4.1.
Diplomatic regatta 2008 is open for all boats from open classes, class
J/24, oldtimer and parallel ORC-club.
4.2.
Each
boat shall accept minimum number of organizers VIP guests, as it is
written in point 5.1. of the
4.3.
All
boats registered by the Slovenian Sailing Federtion or any other
National Authority can enter the event.
4.4.
ORC-club boats must have a valid ORC certificate for year 2008.
4.5.
Eligible boats may enter by completing the entry form and sending it
4.6.
Late
entries will charged with an extra higher late entry fee.
4.7.
The
fully completed entry form should be received not later than Saturday
September 13th 2008 until 10:00 in the Diplomatic regatta
2008 tent in Marina Izola. |

5.
Classes and
Categories
5.1.
Boats
will be classified in cruising and racing category. Each category will
further be classified into classes according to lenght over all (LOA),
displacement and sail area.
5.2.
ORC-club class boats will compete in class based on lenght over all
defined in 5.1 of this NOR and in special ORC-club regulation according
to their ORC certificate.:
5.3.
The regatta for each
class/category is valid, if there are at least two boats in the
class/category. In case of a single entry in any class/category, the
class will be joined with first higher class. |

Entry fee
6.1.
Entry fee is:

Boats, which will send their entry form until
6.3.
Boats
accepting more VIP guests as stated in the
6.4.
Entry
fee include two tickets for gala dinner and party. Additional tickets
for crew members only will be avialable at on-site regitrations. Price
is 15,00 EUR/ticket.
6.5.
Payments can be made at registration by cash only. |

8.
Measurement
8.1.
Each ORC-club boat shall produce a valid
measurement certificate before the close of registration on September 13th
2008 at 10:00.
8.2.
The Organizers may measure or inspect any boat
and or her equipment and sails before, during or after the races.

13.1.
The Low Point Scoring System of Appendix A will
apply.

14.
radio
communication
14.1.
A boat shall neither make radio transmissions
while racing nor receive radio communications not avaliable to all
boats. This restricitons also applies to mobile telephones.
14.2.
During the starting procedure, in addition to
sound and flag signals, the Race Committee may use VHF channel 69 to
call out OCS sail numbers or bow numbers. The use of VHF radio
communication or failure to do so, by the Race Committee shall not be
considered a valid reason for protest or request of redress in any case.
