- RULES
- The regatta will be governed by the rules
as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing.
- Prescriptions of Slovenian Sailing Federation
will apply only for Slovenian boats.
- If there is a conflict between languages the
Slovene text will prevail.

Notices to competitors will be posted on the
offcial notice board located in front of Marina Izola tent.

- One race is scheduled.
- The scheduled time of the warning signal for the
first race is at 12:55.
- CLASS FLAGS
Class flag for classes open, ORC-club, J/24 and
oldtimer will be JK Veter flag.
- RACING AREA
- THE COURSES
- The diagrams show the courses,
including the approximate angles between legs, the order in which marks are
to be passed, and the side on which each mark is to be left.
- a) Big racing boats (classes Maxi, Zero, Alfa
and Bravo):
Start – 1 – 1a – 2P/S – 1 – 1a – 2P/S – 3 – F –
3 – Finish.

b) Smaller racing boats (classes Charlie – Hotel) and
all Cruising boats:
Start – 1 – 1a – 2P/S – 1 – 1a – 2P/S– 3 –

- Boats shall leave marks 1, 1a, 3 and 4 on port
and shall sail between the gate marks 2P/S from the direction of the
previous mark and round either gate mark.
- MARKS
- Marks 1, 1a, 2P, 2S, 3 and 4 will be orange
inflatable buoys with blue Diplomatska regata band.
- Startning marks will be orange inflatable buoy
with blue Diplomatska regata band on port side and RC boat on starboard
side.
- Finishing marks will be orange inflatable buoy
with blue Diplomatska regata band on port side and RC boat on starboard
side.
- THE START
- Race will be started by using rule 26 with the
warning signal given 5 minutes before the starting signal.

- The starting line will be between a staff
displaying an orange flag on RC boat on starboard end and the port-end
startning mark.
- A boat starting later than 30 minutes after the
starting signal will be scored Did Not Start. This changes rule
A4.
- If any part of a boat's hull, crew or equipment
is on the course side of the starting line during the two minutes before her
starting signal and she is identified, the race committee will atempt to
broadcast her sailnumber or name on VHF channel 69. Failure to make a
broadcast or to time it accurately will not be grounds for a request fo
redress. This changes rule 62.1(a).
- THE FINISH
The finishing line will be between a staff
displayning a blue flag on the finishing mark at the starboard and the
port-end finishing mark.
- PENALTY SYSTEM
Rules 44.1 and 44.2 are changed so that the
only one turn, including one tack and one gybe, is
required..
- TIME LIMIT
- Time limit is untill 17:00.
- Boats failing to finish a race untill 17:00 will
be scored Did Not Finish. This changes rules 35 and
A4.
- PROTESTS AND REQUESTS FOR
REDRESS
- A boat, that intends to lodge a protest protest,
shal report this to the Race committe on the Finishing line, after
finishing. This is added to rule 61.1.
- Protest fee for single protest is 100 EUR and
will be returned if the protest will be solved in your
advantage.
- Protest forms are available at the race office.
Protests shall be delivered there within the protest time limit.
- Protest time limit is 60 minutes after the
protesting boat passed finishing line and finished the race.
- Notices will be posted within 5 minutes of the
protest time limit to inform competitors of hearings in which they are
parties or named as witnesses. Place and time of hearing will be defined in
notice.
- Noitices of protests by the race committee or
protest committee will be posted to inform boats under rule
61.1(b).
- If members of protest committe will not be
avialable, protest will be discussed by three helmsmans present on the
regatta and are not invoilved in incident.
- EQUIPMENT AND MESUREMENT CHECKS
A boat or equipment may be inspected at any time
for compliance with the class rules and sailing instructions.
- RADIO COMMUNICATION
- Notices to competiotors will be made by using
the VHF channel 69.
- A boat shall neither make radio transmissions
while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats.
This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
- PRIZES
- Prizes will be given as follows:
-
first three boats in big racing category (Maxi, Zero, Alfa and
Bravo),
- first three boats in smaller racing category (Charlie -
Hotel),
- first three boats in crusers category,
- first
three boats in ORC-club,
- first boat, if there are two boats in
the class,
- first two boats, if there are from three to five
boats in a class,
- first three boats, if there are six or more
boats is a class.
- The prize giving ceremony will be hold on
Saturday evening in Marina Izola tent.
- DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at
their own risk. See rule 4, Decison to Race. The organising authority will not
accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained
in conjuction with or prior to, during, or after the
regatta.
