2. RULES
2.1. The race will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
2.2. The following prescriptions of Slovenian Sailing Federation will apply.
- Pravila za odprte razrede regatno-potovalnih jadrnic pri JZS,
- Pravilnik o reklamiranju,
- Pravilnik o registracijah in prestopih tekmovalcev,
- Tekmovalni pravilnik in pogoji za organizacijo regat za Pokal Slovenije
2.3. If there is a conflict between languages the Slovene text will take precedence.

3. ADVERTISING
The event is classified as category “C”

4. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
4.1. Sailing Club Veter Cup is open for all boats from open classes and parallel ORC-club.
4.2. All boats registered by the Slovenian Sailing Federtion or any other National Authority can enter the event.
4.3. All skippers and at leat 60% of the crew including skipper shall be members of Slovenian Sailing Federation or any other National Authority..
4.4. ORC-club boats must have a valid ORC certificate for year 2008.
4.5. Eligible boats may enter by completing the entry form and sending it

no later than Thursday April 17th 2008.
4.6. Late entries will charged with an extra late higher entry fee.
4.7. The fully completed entry form should be received not later than Saturday April 19th 2008 until 10:00.

5. CLASSES AND CATEGORIES
5.1. Boats will be classified in cruising and racing category. Each category will further be classified into classes according to lenght over all (LOA), displacement and sail area.

5.2. ORC-club class boats will compete in class based on lenght over all from 5.1 of this NOR and in special ORC-club regulation according to their ORC certificate.:

ORC B from 610,0 till 639,9
ORC C from 640,0 and furthere

6. ENTRY FEE
6.1. Entry fee is:

6.2. Yachts, which will send their entry form until Thursday 17th April 2008 until 18:00 will be charged normal entry fee. Yachts, which will send the entry form on 18th or 19th April 2008 will be charged late entry fee.
6.3. Entry fee include one dinner ticket. Additional dinner tickets will be avialable at on-site regitrations. Price is 8,00 EUR.
6.4. Payments can be made at registration by cash only.

8. MEASUREMENT
8.1. Each ORC-club boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate before the close of registration on April 19th 2008 at 10:00.
8.2. The Organizers may measure or inspect any boat and or her equipment and sails before, during or after the races.

9. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available on homepage www.veter-klub.com, and on on-site registration in the Race office.

10. VENUE
Attachment A shows the location of the regatta harbour and racing areas.

11. THE COURSES
The course shall be Windward – Leeward course with leeward gate and navigational part.

12. PENALTY SYSTEM
Rules 44.1 and 44.2 are changed so that only one turn, including one tack and one gybe, is required..

13. SCORING
13.1. The Low Point Scoring System of Appendix A will apply.
13.2. One race is planned and the regatta is valid, if this race will be finished

14. RADIO COMMUNICATION
14.1. A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not avaliable to all boats. This restricitons also applies to mobile telephones.
14.2. During the starting procedure, in addition to sound and flag signals, the Race Committee may use VHF channel 69 to call out OCS sail numbers or bow numbers. The use of VHF radio communication or failure to do so, by the Race Committee shall not be considered a valid reason for protest or request of redress in any case.

15. PRIZES
15.1. Prizes will be awarded to:
- first boat in the crousers category,
- first boat in the racing category,
- first boat, if there are two boats in the class, ,
- first two boats, if there are from three to five boats in class, ,
- first three boats, if there are six or more boast is class,

15.2. Prize giving ceremony will take place on Saturday evening in Hotel Riviera – Srednja gostinska in turistična šola Izola.

16. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The Organizing Authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

17. INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insuranc. Proof of insurance shall be provided upon registration.
